LOCATION: LA JOLLA SHORES
Located in the La Jolla marine reserve this 1 mile stretch of coast line is San Diego’s most beginner friendly beach. Surf Camp La Jolla offers a long flat sandbar which allows surfers to progress their skills in an encouraging environment. Menehune Surf Camp days are tailored to each surfers age and skill level. Under the guidance of our certified coaches, surfers will learn proper pop-up timing, develop stronger padding techniques, practice reading wave patterns and perfect dropping in! Surfers will also play fun, physically challenging games, and work on their flexibility, balance and ocean mindfulness.

Menehune’s weeklong program teaches surfers all aspects of the sport—including how to read wave patterns, surfing etiquette, and surfboard care. Instruction progresses during the week from surfing the inside (white water) to riding green-water (unbroken) waves on the outside
